Undergraduate Dissertation

For my undergraduate dissertation, I studied genres of professional writing. I made my focus technical writing. I learned how to write instruction manuals for furniture assembly. Internship (later promoted to Editorial Supervisor)

For Kevin Hinckley, M. Ed., LPC, I edited his non-fiction, self-help book, The (Flawed) Stories We Tell. Mr. Hinckley gave me the first draft he wrote in the early morning hours. This draft needed serious revision to be readable and grammatically correct before I was able to content edit and focus on the content itself.

The first file listed is the original file he sent me.

The second file listed is after I edited it the first time (content edit round one).

The third file is the latest.

Bear in mind that some chapters have been switched around, so the content is the same, but some chapter names and titles might be different.

Only the first two chapters are included here since this book will be published and available for purchase, but the entire manuscript was edited twice.
