Interview Questions

1. Why did you leave your last job?

I was a research assistant to Dr. Trenton Olsen at BYU-Idaho. While I loved every minute of it, you had to be a student to work in that position.

2. What is your greatest strength?

My greatest strength is my attention to detail. I believe one of the most important skills in any job is to double and triple check your work. Little mistakes can be hard to find at first glance, but they make a bad first impression. For example, you're reading my website and possibly considering me as a candidate for editing your book. Would you be comfortable hiring me if you find mistakes on my website? Probably not. That's why attention to detail is important.

3. Where do you see yourself in five years?

As a recent college graduate fighting her way through COVID-19, it is hard to see exactly where I will be in five years. That depends on the economy and COVID-19. But right now, I am a freelance editor. Ideally, I would like to work in publishing or as a freelance writer and editor, or I'd like to work at a publishing house.  That, or as the Content Writer for a company.
